LyicsJesus, thro' whom all blessings flow,
Great builder of thy church below,
O may thy spirit move my breast-
Hear and fulfil thine own request.
The few that truly call thee Lord,
And wait thy purifying word,
And thee their only Saviour own,
Unite and perfect them in one.
O may they all thy mind express,
And be thy chosen witnesses-
Thy power unto salvation shew,
And perfect holiness below.
In them let all mankind behold
How christians liv'd in days of old;
Mighty their envious foes to move,
A proverb of reproach and love.
O may my lot be cast with these,
The least of Jesus' witnesses;
O that my Lord would count me meet,
To wash his dear disciple's feet;
After my lowly Lord to go,
And wait upon his saints below;
Enjoy the grace to angels giv'n,
And serve the royal heirs of heav'n.
And when we're done with all below,
O may we then to glory go;
O! there we'll meet to part no more,
But praise and love for evermore.
