LyicsChrist is the door of all his sheep,
All that pass in, he'll safely keep;
He'll be their shepherd and their guide,
And lead them forth where waters glide.
He is not strange, nor will he flea,
When comes the wolf to tear and slay;
He loves his sheep, before them goes,
Guards them from dangers, fears and foes.
They follow him, tho' lions meet;
They know his voice, it sounds so sweet;
It cheers the desert, lonesome place,
And gives them courage, joy and peace.
A Shepherd good! his life he gave,
To make a way his sheep to save-
Again he lives to die no more,
To bless us all forever more.
O! may we now run after him,
And in his pastures gather in;
Keep near his side, yea at his feet,
And in his service always meet.
Now such as those he'll always bless;
He'll give them courage, joy and peace;
He'll give them crowns of life, and save
Their bodies from the cruel grave.
