LyicsNow let our thankful songs arise
To him who built the sky;
May all the prodigals be wise,
And to their God draw nigh.
Ye; who have stray'd from paths of peace;
Come to your Father's home,
And from your sins and sorrows cease,
Nor in the desert roam.
Why will you dwell in foreign lands
And starve, or perish there;
While in your heav'nly father's hands,
There's bread enough to spare?
Your strength will fail, your store exhaust;
A famine will arise;
And leave you naked and athirst-
'Tis now before your eyes.
O think; this day, well on your doom,
And to your father turn;
Come to your Saviour while there's room,
And you he will not spurn.
There a sweet welcome you shall find,
A joyful feast he'll make-
Around your souls his love shall bind;
You for his sons he'll take.
