LyicsO christian come and join with me,
(The Lamb of God was slain for thee)
To glorify his precious name,
And leave our sins and earthly fame,
Our deeds of flesh we'll crucify,
And with our Saviour daily die;
Forsake the world and all its lust,
And in our Saviour always trust.
We'll give to them that needeth, bread,
And visit them that's almost dead-
We'll always take the stranger in,
And pray for them that live in sin.
We'll take our cross, our Lord obey,
And follow him where'er he'll say;
To prison, or to death we'll go,
E'er we forsake him here below.
Our God, we trust for daily bread,
The footsteps of his son we tread;
And lay our treasures all above,
For there's the objects of our love.
The promise of our God is sure,
To all whose hearts are truly pure;
He'll save us here from all our foes,
He'll save us from all future woes.
He'll bring us to an heav'nly place,
Where we shall sing redeeming grace;
Where we shall meet to part no more,
But safely praise him evermore.
