LyicsI preach repentance to you all,
Who've sinn'd against our God;
The worst of you I now must call,
To trust in Jesus' blood.
Our Saviour came to give us light,
To trust in him alone;
All who are sunk in shades of night,
To you this light has come.
Your sins must now all be confess'd,
You must repent sincere,
Before your souls in Christ can rest,
Or gain a pardon here.
You then must take and bear your cross,
And trust Almighty God;
The world you must esteem as dross,
And walk the narrow road.
Salvation then shall be your song,
And Christ shall be your trust,
To bring you to the heav'nly throng,
And raise you from the dust.
