LyicsThe name of Christ is all my trust;
Without my Saviour I am curst;
The name of Christ is all my boast;
Without my Saviour I am lost.
My Saviour said "I am the truth;"
I'll follow him now in my youth;
"I am the way," my Jesus cries;
I'll go till death shall close my eyes.
This way is plain and pleasant too,
When humility we pursue;
It's full of amity and love,
Directing us to heav'n above.
"I am the life" our Jesus said;
He'll raise the sleeping and the dead,
Reanimate their souls, and give
An apprehension how to live.
This life I feel within my soul,
It all my sinful pow'rs control
Fecilitates me on the way,
To regions of immortal day.
When this dull frame shall cease to move,
Eternal mansions I shall rove;
And live to praise my Saviour's name,
When earth and sky are clos'd in flame.
