LyicsMy soul to day is full of love;
I long to be with Christ above,
Where nothing can destroy my peace,
And from all sin forever cease.
To day I feel refreshing joy;
O! may no sin my peace destroy
Before I reach the realms of rest,
And join the host of all the blest.
To day I feel my Jesus sweet;
My share of pleasure now is great-
He takes me in his bles'd embrace,
And shews to me his smiling face.
To day he leads me by his hand,
And says, I shall o'er Jordan stand,
And take my seat there at his side,
And there shall be his blessed bride.
I now am married to the Lord,
I'll 'tend with gladness to his word;
I'm not asham'd to own his name,
You now may call me a christian.
To day my dress is clothes of clay,
But soon they all shall wear away;
I then shall shine with angel's dress
My husband is my right'ousness.
To-day we'll dwell upon the theme,
And praise the Lord, whom Jacob seen;
But all his grace, we cannot tell,
Who saves our souls from burning hell.
Come on to day ye blind and lame,
And wed with Jesus Christ, the Lamb;
For you he waits, for you he stands,
And spreads for you his gracious hands.
