LyicsThus saith the Lord go preach my name
To all the sinful race,
And let my far extended fame
Resound in every place.
Proclaim free pardon as ye go,
And sound a jubilee;
Salvation now shall freely flow.
If they from darkness flee
Now let your theme be heav'nly love,
And let them know their God,
That all their sins he can remove,
If they believe his word.
Be wise as serpents where ye go,
And harmless as the dove;
Let your deportment constant show,
You'er mission'd from above.
I'll be with you to bless your word,
Wherever you shall go;
And free redemption in my blood,
For ever you shall know.
O Jesus, we have hear'd thy grace,
O let us feel its pow'r;
May it our sins and sorrows chase,
And our poor souls restore.
O may we claim my promise sure,
To be with us below;
That when we're made by suff'rings, pure
We'll in thy presence bow.
