Lyics

I long to see the season come,

When sinners shall come flocking home,

To tast the heav'n of Jesus' love,

And seek the joys that are above.

Hark,'tis the glorious gospel sound,

Inviting sinners all around;

Behold the loving Saviour stand,

And spreads for you his bleeding hands.

He now is knocking at your heart,

Waiting salvation to impart;

To wash you in atoning blood;

And seal you heirs and sons of God.

A few more days, and you must go,

To realms of joy, or endless wo;

In worlds of light, with Christ to dwell,

Or sink beneath his frowns to hell.

Come, then, dear sinners, counsel take,

And all your sinful ways forsake;

This world give o'er leave friends behind,

In Christ you shall redemption find.

Take your companion by the hand,

And all your children in a band,

And give them up at Jesus' call,

To pardon, bless, and save them all.

And when the day of Christ shall come,

And he collect his jewels home;

On Zion's mount, you all shall stand,

And join the bright angelic band.

O, what a glorious company!

May I be there that sight to see;

And join in praise to Jesus' name,

All glorious in Jerusalem.
