LyicsSWEET glories rush upon my sight,
And charm my wond'rig eyes;
The regions of immortal light,
The beauties of the skies.
All hail, ye fair celestial shores!
Ye lands of endless day!
Swift on my view your prospect pours,
And drives my grief away.
There's a delightful clearness now,
My clouds of doubt are gone,
Fled is my former darkness too,
My fears are all withdrawn.
Short is the passage, short the space
Between my hoe and me;
There, there behold the radiant place,
How near the mansions be.
Immortal wonders! boundless things!
In those bright world's appear;
Prepare me, Lord, to stretch my wings,
An in those glories share.
By faith I feel my spirit rise,
My hear begins t' ascend;
I'll stretch and soar above the skies,
Where raptures never end.
