LyicsFaint-ly flow, thou fall-ing riv-er,
Like a dream that dies a-way;
Down to o-cean gli-ding ev-er,
Keep thy calm, un-ruf-fled way:
Time, with such a si-lent mo-tion,
Floats a-long on wing's of air,
To e-ter-ni-ty's dark o-cean,
Burying all its treas-ure there.
Roses bloom, and then they wither;
Cheeks are bright, then fade and die;
Shapes of life are wafted hither,
Then, like visions, hurry by;
Quick as clouds at evening driven
O'er the many-colored west,
Years are bearing us to heaven-
Home of happiness and rest.
