I will thy praise resound,

And tell how ev'ry passing hour

Is with thy goodness crown'd.



Throughout the day, thy tender care

Has all my wants supplied,

And deign'd from ev'ry baneful snare

My erring steps to guide.



Now, while mine eyes are clos'd in sleep,

Wilt thou my Guardian be,

And deign my wearied frame to keep
