LyicsBy faith we look, for joys to come,
When we shall pass the vale,
To yon bright land, the spirit's home,
Where pleasures never fail.
O happy land! we long to stand
On thy fair shore, and sing,
With all that throng, a joyful song
Of praise to God our King.
The land we see is bright and free,
And streams perennial flow,
O'ershadow'd by life's blooming tree,
Whose leaves to healing grow.
The light that shines upon that shore
Shall never fade nor die;
For God is light, and evermore
He bids the darkness fly.
There joy, and life, and light, and love,
And rapturous songs of bliss,
Are calling to that world above,
From such a world as this.
