Lyics

There is no place on earth so sweet,
So rich with pure delight,
As where our Father's children meet,
To worship him aright.

With saints on earth to sing his praise,
Inspires with holy zeal;
With joy the note of song we'll raise,
As we his presence feel.

In harmony our voices join,
To praise our Saviour's name;
Bright angels, too, their powers combine
To celebrate his fame.

Here, from the holy "Word of God,"
"By inspiration given,"
We learn the path our Saviour trod,
The way that leads to heaven.

Who can forsake assembling here,
While grace and truth declare,
Where we in Jesus' name appear,
His presence shall be there?

If earth afford a joy so dear,
Where partings oft are known,
What heights of rapture shall appear
Forever near God's throne!
