LyicsThere is an hour of hallow'd peace
For those with care oppress'd,
When sighs and sorrowing tears shall cease,
And all be hush'd to rest.
We are marching through Immanuel's ground,
We soon shall hear the trumpet sound,
And then we shall each other greet,
And never, never part again,
What! never part again? never part again.
Tis then the soul is freed from fears
And doubts which here annoy;
The they that oft have sown in tears
Shall reap again in joy.
There is a home of sweet repose,
Where storms assail no more;
The stream of endless pleasure flows
On that celestial shore.
