Lyics

Sweet is the day of sacred rest,

No mortal care shall seize our breast;

Oh may our hearts in tune be found

Like David's harp of solemn sound.

Our souls shall triumph in the Lord,

And bless his works - and praise his word,

His works of grace - how bright they shine!

How deep his counsels - how divine!

Sure we shall share a glorious part

When grace has well refined our heart

When fresh supplies of joy he sheds

Like holy oil upon our heads.

Then shall we see, and hear, and know

All we desired, or wished below;

And very power find sweet employ

In that eternal world of joy.
