LyicsSWEET the moments, rich in blessing,
Which before the cross I spend;
Life, and health, and peace possessing,
From the sinner's dying Friend.
Here I'll sit, forever viewing
Mercy streaming in His blood;
Precious drops! my soul bedewing,
Plead they now my peace with God.
Truly blessed is this station;
Here unfolds His wondrous grace,
While I see divine compassion
Beaming in His lovely face.
Here it is I find my heaven,
While upon the cross I gaze;
Here the joy of sins forgiven
Shall inspire my songs of praise.
Lord! in ceaseless contemplation,
Fix my trusting heart on Thee,
Till I know Thy full salvation,
And Thy face in glory see.
