Lyics

HOW happy are the souls above,

From sin and sorrow free!

With Jesus they are now at rest,

And all his glory see!

"Worthy the Lamb," aloud they cry,

"That brought us here to God:"

In ceaseless hymns of praise they shout

The virtue of his blood.

Sweet gratitude inspires their songs,

Ambitious to proclaim,

Before the Father's awful throne,

The honors of the Lamb.

With wond'ring joy they recollect

Their fears and dangers past;

And bless the wisdom, pow'r, and love,

Which brought them safe at last.

Lord, let the merit of thy death

To me be likewise giv'n;

And I, with them, will shout thy praise

Eternally in heav'n.
