Lyics

YE citizens of Zion, who are a marching home,

Let us unite together to call sinners to come,

Unite our testimony to spread his name abroad,

And all speak forth the glory of our ascended Lord.

This is a world of trouble and darkness all around,

But they that follow Jesus, shall in his love abound,

The straight high way of holiness is a way of peace and joy,

That leads us on to glory above the starry sky.

Christians are one, their way is one, also their love is one,

And light is one, and love is one, they all aim for one home,

By this the world shall know us, that we are the sons of God,

When we lvoe one another according to his word.

The word of God, we all believe it came from above,

That we God's will might here receive and understand his word,

Then let us all receive it and publish forth the same;

Walk by it in our practice and glorify his name.

And thus our faith will all be one, our practice the same,

And thus we'll see that union and love will soon inflame,

Our testimony thus agree to call the world to come,

Declare that God has loved them, and gave to them his son.

We'll join and sing together, we'll join in solemn prayer,

We'll join in sweet communion, and flock together there,

We will not lord it over the heritage of God.

Nor will we try to hinder thsoe that's wash'd in Jesus blood.

And soon we'll leave the world behind, and fly to peace and joy,

Where singing hallelujah shall all our powers emply,

We'll feast upon that heavenly fruit and walk the glorious plain,

And shout and sing God's praise while God and heaven remain.
