Lyics

My friends and brethren we are met,

Again to serve the Lord;

O Holy Ghost descend just now,

And give thy living word.

O may it run and be like fire,

And all our sins destroy;

And make us of one heart and mind,

And fill our souls with joy.

My soul is fill'd with joy, I see

The day is rolling on;

When all the saints of ev'ry name,

Will all unite as one.

The watchmen then will all unite,

Their flocks will be as one,

And all in love march sweetly on,

To Canaan's happy land.

O watchmen! Watchmen! Will you join,

And in this work go on?

Then every wall that men have built,

Like Jericho comes down.

O living God increase thy work,

And push thy victories on,

Till every child of God below,

Can join to sing this song.
