LyicsCOME, gracious Lord, and bless the day;
O bear our thoughts from earth away:
Now let our noblest feelings rise
With ardor to their native skies.
O may thy spirit, all divine,
With sweetest influence in us shine;
O let our waiting souls be blest,
On this thy day of sacred rest.
In holy duties let the day--
In holy pleasures pass away:
How sweet this day of rest to spend
In hope of one that ne'er shall end!
Then, when our labors here are o'er,
And we have reached that happy shore,
With all the ransomed we'll employ
Our noblest powers in mightiest joy.
HALLELUJAH.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him all creatures here below;
Praise him ye saints, who owe him most;
Praise him all you heavenly host.
