LyicsLET Zion's watchmen all awake,
And take the alarm they give;
Yes, let them from the word of God,
Their maxims all receive.
'Tis not a cause of small import,
The pastor's care demands;
But what might fill an angel's heart,
It fill'd a Saviour's hands.
You watch for souls for which the Lord
Did heavenly bliss forego;
For souls which must forever live
In raptures or in wo.
Then let the welfare of thy flock,
Thy care and gladness be:
And be assured, O man of God,
Thy flock will care for thee.
