Lyics

HOW gentle God's commands-

How kind his precepts are!

Come, cast your burden on the Lord,

And trust his constant care.

His bounty will provide,

His saints securely dwell;

The hand that bears creation up,

Shall guard his children well.

Why should that anxious load

Press down your weary mind?

Oh seek your heavenly Father's face,

And peace and comfort find.

His goodness stands approved,

Unchanged from day to day;

Then drop your burden at his feet,

And learn of him to pray.
